Daji iOS App Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Daji iOS client (the "App"). It explains what personal information the App collects, how we use, store and protect it, and the rights you have over that information.

2. Information We Collect

To provide reading and note-taking features, the App may collect:

• Account information: phone number or email address, nickname and avatar you provide when registering or signing in
• Content you create: imported book files, reading progress, bookmarks, notes and annotations
• Device and log information: device model, OS version, app version, crash and performance logs
• Subscription information: order number, subscription status and expiry date (never your payment card number)

We do not collect your contacts, SMS or call records, and we do not read files unrelated to the App's features.

3. iOS Permissions

The App requests the following permissions only when you use the corresponding feature. You may decline, and declining does not affect other features:

• Photos and file access: to import book files stored on your device
• Notifications: to deliver reading reminders and service notices
• Network access: to sync reading progress and check for updates

4. Third-Party Services

• Apple platform services: distribution, in-app purchase and payment are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment card number. If you enable "Share with App Developers" in system settings, we may receive crash and usage statistics from Apple
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): to deliver notifications you have subscribed to

These third parties process data only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant feature. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the App's features; sync your reading data when cloud sync is enabled; process subscriptions and orders; diagnose faults and improve the product; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Storage and Security

Your books and notes are stored on your device by default. If you enable cloud sync, the relevant data is transmitted encrypted and stored on our servers located in the People's Republic of China. We apply transport encryption, access control and least-privilege measures. Please note that no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

7. Sharing

We do not share your personal information except:

• with your separate consent;
• as required by law, or by a mandatory request from a judicial or administrative authority;
• where necessary to protect the personal or property safety of you or others.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, copy and delete your personal information, to withdraw consent you have given, and to delete your account. You can do so in the App's Settings, or contact us using the details in Section 11. After you delete your account we will delete or anonymise your personal information, except where the law requires otherwise.

9. Minors

The App is not directed at children under 14. If you are a minor, please read this policy and use the App together with your guardian.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you prominently, such as through an in-app announcement. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the updated policy.
